Established in 1956, Sertoma Club of Greater Sarasota is part of the Sertoma International service organization, which each year helps millions of children and families worldwide suffering from speech, language and hearing difficulties. Comprised of business and community leaders from throughout the area, Sertoma Club of Greater Sarasota’s primary focus is on helping local children’s charities with an emphasis on speech and language needs. The club also provides grants throughout the year for schools and other community organizations that serve children and adults with speech and language needs.
Children First is a private, charitable, non-profit organization that serves over 600 of Sarasota County’s most vulnerable children, birth to five years of age, and their families. Services are provided at multiple locations throughout Sarasota County.
